About GMT Corporation

A strong, stable manufacturer with an impressive track record of over 50 years in the industry.

DELIVERING HIGH QUALITY PARTS ON TIME SINCE 1973

For nearly five decades GMT Corporation has been a mission critical partner to equipment OEMs, supplying the globe with products for Defense, Agriculture, Construction, Infrastructure, Craning & Lifting, Oil & Gas, Rail & Transportation, Wind Energy and Aerospace/Air Support.

From modest beginnings as a family owned machine shop that started out of a garage in 1973, to today where we manufacture hundreds of parts & assemblies out of three facilities totaling roughly 400,000 square feet, our 200+ employees proudly serve customers around the globe.

In 2019 GMT was acquired by Summit Agricultural Group, an investment partner. As part of our 10-Year Growth Plan, Michael Clausen joined the company to serve as our President/CEO in October of 2022.

Safety, Quality, Delivery & Continuous Improvement are foundational elements to our House of Strategy. We strive for and routinely achieve a less than 250PPM Quality target. We also routinely deliver on an enterprise OTD target of 98%. Both of these are considered World Class for manufacturing companies. We are committed to driving continuous improvement, proactively sharing cost-basis efficiency gains with our customers.

With a history spanning five decades, GMT has strong roots in Midwestern family and community values. Our commitment to the community is reflected in our focus on hiring top talent from the Cedar Valley and providing them with extensive training and development opportunities such as internships, thorough onboarding programs for new employees, continuous cross-training, and leadership development initiatives. Additionally, we consistently invest in our commercial resources, manufacturing capabilities, and plant automation. As a socially responsible organization, we collaborate with schools and businesses in our local community and actively support various charitable causes.
